Bicycles. There are many types of them for all the different reasons we use bikes. No matter what you need, there is a bicycle for it. Whether you are out there giving it your all, pedaling fast or just wanting to enjoy a nice afternoon ride, a bicycle will fit your need. Not only do bikes give you physical exercise but mental and financial health as well.

All terrain, road, beach or mountain. Where ever you are riding, there is a proper bicycle for it. Some of the bikes today are a far cry from your basic kids bmx bikes growing up. The ones with the kick back coaster brake where you kick back on your pedals and you stop. Some of us when we get older are lucky enough to still have the bicycle enthusiasm as we did as kids. Now, we have a much wider range of bikes to choose from. Most people prefer an all terrain or hybrid bike. These bikes are great for daily exercise and commuting. All terrain bikes have a wider tire with more traction that allows a rider to ride a little more off road or over more bumps with ease and comfort. If you’re looking for a little more speed then you can get on a road bike. A rode bike has a lighter weight frame with thinner tires for less resistance. These bikes come in a variety of speeds. Although road bikes are not good for going off road, they are much faster on hard surfaces. Let’s say you want to go completely off road. A mountain bike is what you will need. Fatter tires, suspension and heavier duty frame allow these bikes to blast through trails in the woods and mountains. A wide range of gears allow mountain bikes to go up and down and all around. Now, some people like to take it easy and just cruise on down the road or the beach. A beach cruiser offers a fat wide tire for smooth riding and handling. The tires ride nice and smooth through the sand on the beach or just riding through the park. Some of them have gears and a full break system. Some only are single speeds with a coaster brake. Be sure to pick the bike that best fits where you ride the most in order to get the most enjoyment out of your riding.

Wherever you are riding your bike or whichever type you ride, there is a reason or a purpose for it. Many people find riding a bike to be an easier way of getting in and maintaining good healthy shape than say running or other higher impact exercises. It is great cardio and much more fun than many other exercising regiments. Part of the fun of riding a bicycle is the freedom. If you and your bike are capable of riding somewhere then you can do it. The places you can find and go on bikes are up to you. Biking from one place to another gives an incredible since of accomplishment. No matter how tired you get, the feeling of getting from one place to another outweighs the pain you feel. The stresses of life can often bear down on us. Biking is a great release of frustration and anger. Sometime, you just got to clear your head and going for a ride can ease the mind. A lot of pent up energy can really hurt someone. Riding a bike can help.
